Here’s the official bloody red band trailer for Fede Alvarez’s remake of Sam Raimi’s classic 1981 horror film.
That trailer looks really promising! This may be one of those rare occasions where a remake is actually good.
If you need more reasons to not automatically write this movie off, here are three pretty convincing ones from ScreenRant:
- Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi don’t just approve of it – they’re actively involved with it. Campbell serves as a producer, while Raimi both produced and co-wrote the script.
- Director Fede Alvarez was handpicked by Raimi himself to helm the project. The footage in the trailer pretty much spells out why.
- Lead actress Jane Levy was endorsed as ”the new Ash” by Campbell himself; and trust when I tell you – he made her earn every letter of that title.
I’m sold.
