Beautifully Sad Harold Ramis / Ghostbusters Tribute Art

Knowing that Dan Aykroyd refers to Slimer as “The Ghost of John Belushi” makes this artwork even more meaningful since Ramis and Belushi worked together quite a bit.

Harold Ramis and John Belushi performed together at the Second City in Chicago in 1972. They continued to work together on The National Lampoon Radio Hour along with Bill Murray in 1974. John Belushi, of course, also starred in National Lampoon’s Animal House (1978) which was co-written by Harold Ramis.

Harold Ramis was a comedy legend and he will be sorely missed. I think Patton Oswalt said it best:

If a Twinkie represents amount of grief I feel when someone dies, Harold Ramis’ death would be a Twinkie 35 feet long weighing 600 pounds.
