Set in the world of LARPing – large scale fantasy role play games – Franchi’s debut feature could easily have simply played to the cult crowd but he aimed higher than that and ended up with a film that begins with a quirky hook but ends with a deadly serious finish that turned an awful lot of heads and set a lot of tongues talking.
