Sharing the need for speed, rabid fans crave movies where cars crash, buildings explode and faces get kicked six ways to Sunday. More than a joyride gone amuck, action films account for six of the top ten highest grossing films of all time. However, in the world of film festivals, action films are often relegated to midnight screenings and are constantly snubbed by critics.
