Nancy & Beth are Megan Mullally (Childrens Hospital, Party Down, Will & Grace) and Stephanie Hunt (Friday Night Lights – she was in Landry’s band Crucifictorious).
Here are three cover songs from their live performance on Comedy Bang Bang.
In the Cool of the Day: Cover of “Now Is The Cool of the Day” written by Kentucky singer and folk songwriter Jean Ritchie in the 1970s. It was later covered by Daniel Martin Moore in 2011.
Jack, You’re Dead: Cover of the 1947 single by Louis Jordan and His Tympany Five.
It’s the Girl: A song from the 1930s. I couldn’t find who originally wrote it, but it was performed in 1931 by The Boswell Sisters (with the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra and Jack Purvis) and Freddie Rich’s Radio Orchestra (with vocals by Elmer Feldkamp).
They’ve also performed at Largo in LA with Conan O’Brien and Nick Offerman.
