The Children Watch Jackie Chan’s POLICE STORY from Kurt_Halfyard on Vimeo.
via Twitch:
In the past, Willem (Age 10) and Miranda (Age 8) have talked the films of Studio Ghibli as well as Satoshi Kon’s Paprika and Pixar’s Brave. The recently got a chance to see Jackie Chan in person as a part of the A Century of Chinese Cinema retrospective in Toronto. Jackie talked about shifting from period kung-fu films to contemporary stunt-driven action films when introducing a 35mm print of Police Story. Afterwards, the kids talk just how crazy-awesome Jackie was when he was ripping up Hong Kong shopping malls and juggling telephone receivers.
Seeing children appreciate classic films like this makes me really happy. They have a whole series of reviews including Jaws, Time Bandits, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Dark Crystal, Gremlins, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and more at The Kids Talk Film page on Vimeo.
