After the 2011 viral mashup Breaking Bart mingled “The Simpsons” and “Breaking Bad,” fans of both shows can now enjoy an bona fide blending of the two. The tribute will give a nod to an assembly sequence from Season 5 of the drug drama, which featured the haunting soundtrack of 1969’s “Crystal Blue Persuasion.”
When it goes through “The Simpsons” machine, Marge takes center stage, cooking up a batch of blue cupcakes (we can only imagine they are 99.1% pure). Through it all, Homer is donning his Heisenberg disguise.
The whole gag ends with “Breaking Bad” stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul watching “The Simpsons” from their couch.
